Man rescued after getting stuck waist-deep in mud
A walker has been rescued from a bog after getting stuck waist-deep in mud while hiking on a fell.
It happened at about 14:30 GMT on Sunday on Burnslack Fell near Chipping, Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team (BPMRT) said.
The man was "unable to move" so team members secured him with a rope, before freeing him.
"After some food and warming up, the walker was able to walk down the fell to be checked over by an awaiting ambulance," BPMRT said.
They also thanked "the local farmer who kindly helped us".
