Woman in her 90s dies after being hit by car

A woman in her 90s has died after being hit by a car.

Officers said it happened on Cryfield Grange Road, in between Kenilworth and the University of Warwick campus at about 13:30 GMT on Thursday.

Despite the efforts of paramedics, she was pronounced dead at the scene, Warwickshire Police said.

A force spokesperson added the woman's family were being supported by specially trained officers.

Sgt Sarah Etienne added: "We’re appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time to contact us, especially if they have dashcam footage."
