Blaze will be left to burn - firefighters

A compost fire is being left to burn following a joint decision from the fire service and the Environment Agency over the risk.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was called to the fire at a compost transfer site at The Carrops in Red Lodge, near Mildenhall, at about midday on Saturday.
Six crews were on site at the peak of the fire, but they have since scaled back.
The fire is now being managed as a controlled burn, as the fire service said there were "limited surrounding risks and the smoke is coming from organic matter".
"This is a better environmental option due to the site's proximity to the River Kennett and wanting to avoid water runoff from the site," a spokesperson added.
"This will be burning for quite some time, so Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service and Suffolk Police will continue to monitor the incident on site."
