House fire was accidental, fire service says

The cause of an East Sussex house fire was accidental, the fire service says.

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (ESFRS) was called to Frenches Farm Drive in Heathfield just after 16:00 GMT on Sunday.

One person was discharged from the care of South East Coast Ambulance Service at the scene.

ESFRS said no injuries were reported.

East Sussex fire asked for people to avoid the area and close all windows and doors

Sussex Police, UK Power Networks and Southern Gas Network also attended.

Six fire engines had been called out from from Uckfield, Burwash, Crowborough, Hailsham, Herstmonceux and Lewes, the service said.
