Towns' burst pipe repairs completed

A burst water pipe that left almost 200 properties with low water pressure or no water at all has been repaired.
Thames Water said its teams had been working through the night on the damaged pipe, which burst on Wednesday in Angus Court, Thame, but the repair had been "more challenging than expected".
It said water supply was now returning to the 196 properties that had been compromised by the burst pipe.
A burst sewer pipe, which closed a major route through Bicester, was also repaired on Friday.

A Thames Water spokesperson said: "Our engineers have now repaired the broken sewer pipe on the B4100 in Bicester, following damage by a third party.
"Our tankers will be removed from the area over the weekend after which the road will be re-opened.
"We apologise for any disruption this may cause to residents and motorists and would like to assure them, we are working to re-open the road as quickly and safely as possible."
It previously said the road closure had been implemented to "ensure the safety of everyone involved".
Regarding the repairs in Thame, a spokesperson said work on the pipe had been complicated as it was deep underground, meaning special parts and fittings were required.
The process had also been slowed by nearby utilities and the discovery of another damaged pipe that also needed to be fixed.
