Water supplies disrupted after pipe bursts in field

Homes and businesses in the Thatcham area of Berkshire have been left with low pressure or no water after a pipe burst in a field.
Those in the the RG18 and RG19 postcode areas have been affected by the problem at Crookham Hill.
Thames Water said it had specialist vehicles and a team on site but due to the location and conditions in the field it was taking "longer than normal to start this complex repair."
The water firm said: "We know how inconvenient it is if you lose your water supply, so we'll work hard to get things back to normal as soon as we can."
It said the network had been tweaked to divert water from other areas - however as a result, water pressure may be slightly lower than usual in the Thatcham area, especially during busy usage periods.
Thames Water said it hoped to have a further update on the repairs by late morning on Monday.
