Woman to face trial over A19 crash death

A woman will go on trial after pleading not guilty to causing the death of a man by dangerous driving.

Eleanor Wilson, 22, of The Green in Kirklevington, near Yarm, appeared at Teesside Crown Court over the crash, which took place on the A19 near Ingleby Arncliffe in North Yorkshire on 15 June 2022.

Dax Jones, who was 51, died at the scene following the collision between his silver Yamaha motorcycle and Ms Wilson's blue Ford Ka.

Ms Wilson's trial will take place from 24 November 2025.

She has been granted unconditional bail until the trial.
