The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has issued a warning that there is a very high risk of wildfires in the south and west of the country.

It has urged people not to light fires, and to be careful with any naked flame outdoors.

The wildfire warning covers areas including Lochaber, northern Argyll, Skye and the Western Isles.

The combination of sunshine, warm air temperatures, low humidity and moderate to strong winds mean any fires could spread easily.
