Man dies after car leaves road

A man in his 40s has died after his car left the road in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police were called to the collision in Twerton, Bath, around the Pennyquick and Whiteway Road area, at about 02:20 BST.

The man, who was driving a purple Citroen car, died at the scene.

Avon and Somerset Police said his next of kin has been informed and were being supported by family liaison officers.
