A school in Bath is the first in the city to 'ban' mobile phones, according to Somerset Live. The idea is pupils put them in pouches, which stay with the children, and these stay locked during the school day.
The roll-out of a 'liveable neighbourhood' in east Bristol has been paused by the city council because of protestors blocking workers from continuing the installation, according to Bristol 24/7. The authority's plan is to use bollards, planters and bus gates to reduce traffic.
