Boy, 16, charged after 18-year-old man stabbed

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with wounding and possession of an offensive weapon after a stabbing.

Police were called to High Street in Brierley Hill, Dudley, at about 18:30 GMT on Thursday after an 18-year-old man was found with stab wounds.

An 18-year-old woman also arrested in connection with the stabbing has been bailed with conditions while police inquiries continue.

The boy was remanded to appear in front of Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

West Midlands Police said the stabbing victim was being treated in hospital for injuries which were not believed to be life-threatening.

The force added it had increased patrols in the area, but was not looking for anyone else in connection with the stabbing.
