Teens arrested after man injured in stabbing

Two youths have been arrested after an 18-year-old man was seriously injured in a stabbing.

Police were called to reports of a serious assault on High Street, in Brierley Hill, at about 18:30 BST on Thursday.

The victim was taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening.

An 18-year-old woman and a 16-year-old boy have since been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

Detectives, who are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident, said the pair remained in custody.

Extra patrols were in place on Friday to reassure the community, West Midlands Police said.
