Edith's 106th birthday surprise from the King

A woman was surprised on her 106th birthday with a party and birthday cards from all over the world, including one from King Charles.
Staff at Aspen Lodge Care Home in Skegness helped Edith Hill mark her milestone on Monday by throwing a spring-themed party complete with singers and a buffet.
Head housekeeper Anita Tindle organised the party for Ms Hill, who has been at the care home for six years, and last week appealed for 106 birthday cards to be sent - one for each year of her life.
She said she was left feeling "over the moon" when more than 300 cards arrived at the home.
Ms Tindle said: "We've had singers, entertainment and a buffet party, which have all been flower-themed as flowers are her favourite thing.
"I think she is feeling overwhelmed as her funny side has come out today, as she has been remembering a lot of the people that have come to visit her over the years.
Ms Tindle said her attempt to get 106 birthday cards had been featured in the New York Times and she had received messages from as far afield as Slovenia.

She said: "We've also had people come and visit the home from Sheffield and Rotherham just to drop her chocolates and wish her well, people have detoured from their holidays in Skegness, and all the local schools have made cards for her, local businesses, hospitals.
"We've received one from the King which she was over the moon about, especially after previously receiving one from the late Queen."
Ms Hill, who has one son, said she puts her long life down to "eating lots of chocolate".
