Investigation into sudden death of woman in Kilrea

Police are investigating the sudden death of a woman in Kilrea, County Londonderry.

The woman, in her 40s, was pronounced dead on Sunday.

A 38-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the police investigation and officers were granted a further 36 hours to question him on Tuesday morning.

The police said officers were working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the death in the village, and have said that further details will be provided in due course.
