Man's body found on beach sparks police inquiry

The body of a man has been found on Hornsea Beach, sparking a police investigation.

Humberside Police said the body was recovered at about 08:00 BST on Tuesday and the death was being treated as unexplained.

In a statement, the force said its inquiries were "continuing to establish the circumstances" of the man's death, who has not yet been named.

Officers have appealed for witnesses or anyone with information to get in touch.
