County lines arrests as drugs worth £16,000 seized

Three people have been arrested in Telford after police seized Class A drugs worth an estimated £16,000.
The arrests on Tuesday came after officers in Arleston noticed a Mercedes, which they believed was involved in supplying drugs to the town.
After drugs worth £1,000 were found with £300 in cash, two men, aged 34 and 43, were arrested at the scene.
An address in Leegomery was searched later, and a 34-year-old woman was arrested after West Mercia Police found drugs worth about £15,000, as well as £700 in cash and a knife.
All three were held on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs.
The 34-year-old man and woman remain in custody and the 43-year-old man has been released on bail, police said.
Det Sgt Tim Atherton said: "The people in custody are suspected of being involved in county lines, bringing drugs into Telford to sell on, which we know causes harm.
"We will not tolerate drug dealing in our town."
