Three-day balloon festival takes off

The three-day event returned to The Racecourse in Northampton

Dozens of colourful hot air balloons filled the sky as a balloon festival began in a county on Friday.

Northampton’s Balloon Festival returned to The Racecourse in Northampton.

The three-day event will include live entertainment, a funfair for all ages, a circus workshop, food stalls and fireworks after sunset.

The ticketed festival has been supported by Northampton Town Council and will run until 22:30 BST each day until 18 August.
