Two Met Police officers deny sexual assault

Two Metropolitan Police officers have denied sexually assaulting the same woman.

Jerome Beasley, 42, and Luke Robinson, 39, both constables with the Central West Command Unit, pleaded not guilty at a short hearing at Westminster Magistrates' Court.

Mr Beasley is accused of four counts of sexual assault, one in January 2020 and three last April.

Mr Robinson faces three charges which are alleged to have happened in April.

Prosecutor Rhianne Neil said the officers were accused of "grabbing and squeezing" the alleged victim's breasts and bottom.

The court heard some of the alleged offences were said to have occurred at the Hippodrome Casino in central London, while the officers were off-duty.

Other than entering their pleas at the hearing on Wednesday, the pair spoke only to confirm their names, ages and dates of birth.

Mr Beasley, of north Harrow, and Mr Robinson, of Northampton, were granted conditional bail ahead of a hearing on 18 December at Southwark Crown Court.

The officers are both currently suspended from duty, the Met said.
