A 14-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after he was hit by a bus in Devon, police have said.

The crash happened on Coombeshead Road in Newton Abbot, officers said.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the injuries of the boy were not known.

The road was closed while inquiries took place, said police.
