A man in his 20s has been arrested after a "serious incident" on a Wiltshire farm at the weekend.

Wiltshire Police confirmed the man, from near Wokingham in Berkshire, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, affray and criminal damage.

The force said: "The arrest follows an incident at a farm in Wilsford when several suspects in vehicles have surrounded the victims, shot out the windows using catapults and rammed the victim’s vehicle."

The man is currently in custody at Gablecross Police Station for questioning.

Insp Andy Lemon, from the force's rural crime team, said: “We appreciate the huge amount of community concern that this incident has caused and we continue to take it extremely seriously."

Officers want anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage of 4x4 vehicles travelling through Amesbury, Wilsford and the Woodfords, or along the A303 and M3 on Saturday night or Sunday morning to get in touch.
