Police have appealed for a number of witnesses, who they believe left the scene before officers arrived, to come forward

A motorcyclist died when he was involved in a crash with a lorry in Shropshire.

The victim, aged in his 70s, was fatally injured on the A41 at Sambrook, West Mercia Police said.

His blue Yamaha motorcycle was in collision with a Renault HGV, at about 11:30 GMT.

The force said it believed some witnesses may have left the scene before officers arrived, and has appealed for dash-cam footage and for anyone who saw the crash to come forward.

West Midlands Ambulance Service, along with the Midlands Air Ambulance, also attended.

It said the man who was driving the lorry was assessed and discharged at the scene.
