Your summer solstice photos from the West Midlands

We love to feature your photographs showing the beauty of the West Midlands and we have put together this collection for you, of photos taken on the summer solstice.

The solstice occurs between 20 and 22 June, and during a leap year, like 2024, it always falls on 20 June.

The exact date shifts slightly each year because the calendar year does not match exactly the time it takes the Earth to orbit the Sun.

The weather was kind on Thursday morning, offering some good views of the Sun rising from about 04:45 BST.
