Pigeon fanciers from around the world have flocked to Blackpool

Pigeon fanciers from around the world have flocked to a seaside town for their annual show.

The British Homing World Show was held in Blackpool is thought to have attracted about 15,000 visitors over the weekend.

The event at the Lancashire resort's Winter Gardens featured show classes for more than 1,000 pigeons as well as the racer competition.

Two years ago, the event took place without any birds after an outbreak of avian flu.
