Park-and-ride service suspended over 'encampment'

A park-and-ride service has been suspended due to "an unauthorised encampment", a council has said.
Buses are unable to drop passengers off at Taunton's Silk Mills Park and Ride, and are instead dropping people with vehicles to collect at the gates.
Somerset Council said from Wednesday morning the service would remain suspended "until the situation is resolved", adding: "Security staff are on site and a legal process (is) underway."
The town's other park-and-ride at Taunton Gateway is operating as normal, the council added.

The council said Service 1E would also be suspended from entering the Silk Mills site "until further notice".
A spokesperson added: "The service will operate as usual between Taunton Gateway, town centre and Musgrove Park Hospital, terminating in Mountway Road."
