Second human bone found on remote coastline
A second human bone has been found following a search of a remote stretch of coastline on the Isle of Wight.
Police combed King's Quay, Whippingham, on 15 November, after a member of the public discovered a bone on the shore in April.
Originally, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said no further human remains had been found during the search.
But an item seized by the force, which has since been tested, has now been confirmed as another human bone.
The first bone had been sent for DNA testing but the identity of the person it belonged to was unknown.
Police have not yet confirmed whether the two bones are from the same person.
Further analysis and inquiries remained ongoing, a spokesperson said.
The force previously said there were no suggested links to criminal activity.
