Police officer suspended after misconduct arrest

A Warwickshire Police officer who was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office has been suspended.

The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) said the officer was arrested on 24 October.

He was taken into custody by other Warwickshire Police officers carrying out an investigation under the direction of the IOPC, the body said.

He has since been released on bail, they added.
