Surrey council seeks views on local green spaces

A Surrey council is asking residents to give their opinions on how local parks and green spaces are maintained.

Waverly Borough Council says it manages 2.3 million square meters of green space across the borough.

Steve Williams, the council's portfolio holder for environment and sustainability, says: "It's crucial to understand where our contractors excel and where improvements are needed, so I encourage residents to participate."

Residents have until 17:00 on 15 December to share their views.

The council says as a result of feedback from last year, they are using more electric vehicles and machinery to reduce emissions and noise.
