Lane closures and speed restrictions are in place on a bridge that is undergoing "essential maintenance", according to National Highways.

Work on the A14 Orwell Bridge's westbound bridge joints is currently being carried out near Ipswich.

A 40mph (54km/h) speed restriction is in place on the westbound carriageway until repairs are complete, while one lane across the bridge will be closed for safety reasons.

Further work will be completed over two nights starting on Wednesday between 20:00 and 06:00 GMT, but all lanes will remain open during the day.
