Car destroyed after being engulfed by flames

Flames ripped through a car leaving it a burned-out shell in a Devon seaside town.

Firefighters were called to St Mary’s Square in Brixham at about 21:30 BST on Thursday as fire engulfed the vehicle, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said.

The Brixham crew, who had been on a training drill, put out the fire before the vehicle was recovered.

No-one was reported injured in the fire which is being treated as accidental.
