The human sense of smell is pretty feeble, especially when compared to other animals.

But a new, programmable device could soon give humans super power.

The electronic nose, produced by UK firm Owlstone Nanotech, is a programmable device that can accurately identify individual airborne chemical agents in very small quantities.

Adam Shaw visits the company and discovers how it is developing a breathalyzer that could help doctors easily diagnose diseases like diabetes in the future.
