'Weed nuns' v narcos: Meet Mexico's Sisters of the Valley
The Sisters of the Valley, a group of women dressed as Catholic nuns, legally grow and sell weed in Mexico. Despite their license, they operate covertly to avoid retaliation from narco traffickers. Their religious attire serves as both a provocation and disguise, while they aim to de-stigmatize weed and challenge the country's machismo culture. Reuters photographer Raquel Cunha captured striking images of them.
