The benefits of US shark sightings
US officials say shark encounters have become increasingly common in the past few years. A combination of increased human population in costal areas, destruction of native habitats, declining water quality, and rising water temperatures are contributing factors.
However, the rise in shark sightings and interactions in New York isn’t as alarming as you might think, as sharks are a positive sign of a healthy and thriving marine ecosystem.
