Why we are still living in an Old Norse Saga

During 13th and 14th Centuries, Icelanders put pen to paper (or rather quill to vellum) on a series of traditional stories that had previously been passed down orally, through the generations. Called 'Old Norse Sagas', these tales of heroes, warriors, epic adventures and amazing insights in to daily life all still seem highly relevant today.
