The murder mystery of Spain's 'Pit of Bones'
In the mountains of northern Spain, archaeologists discovered what they believed to be human remains 100ft underground. As improbable as that may be, the story only gets stranger – because the remains weren’t of Homo sapiens, nor were they Neanderthals. They were something new altogether.
So who were these mysterious skeletons and why were they there?
