Deadly Michigan industrial fire sent debris flying

A 19-year-old man has died and one firefighter was injured in a massive fire, which started on Monday evening in Michigan's Clinton Township, north of Detroit.

Explosions caused by butane tanks sent debris flying as far as a mile (1.6km) away. The victim, who was killed by a flying canister, was a quarter mile (0.4km) away from the site, officials said.

The site of the fire was a warehouse storing vaping supplies and phone accessories, among other merchandise.

The fire was contained as of early Tuesday. Its cause under investigation, officials say.
