Moment top US university heads evade question on genocide

On Tuesday, the presidents from the University of Pennsylvania, Harvard and MIT were questioned by Congress about what constituted hate speech against Jewish students on campus. University of Pennsylvania President Elizabeth Magill and her MIT and Harvard counterparts were asked if calling for the genocide of Jews violated the code of conduct at their schools. All answered - in varying ways - that it depended on the "context".

Their responses have caused outrage and led to Magill issuing a video apology the following day. Now a major University of Pennsylvania donor has withdrawn a $100m (£79.3m) grant.
