Emergency test alert disrupts White House briefing and others in US
The White House press briefing on Wednesday was interrupted by a loud beeping noise on reporters' phones. The sound was caused by the Federal Emergency Management Agency's test of an emergency warning system.
'It works,' said Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre laughing at the disruption.
The nationwide test interrupted politicians and tourists alike in the US capital.
