MC Soffia: The Brazilian teenager rapping against racism
Sixteen-year-old rapper MC Soffia rose to fame when she was just 12, singing at the opening ceremony of the 2016 Rio Olympics. She raps about black pride, female empowerment and everyday racism. Following the global reaction to the Black Lives Matter movement, she spoke to BBC My World about racism in Brazil and how she uses her songs to confront it.
