Four Isle of Man residents have tested positive for coronavirus after coming into contact with someone who had travelled off-island.

The cases were found through contact tracing and "relate to an existing Covid-19 case", the government said.

Chief Minister Howard Quayle said six cases this week had come from "the same chain of transmission".

There have been 363 known cases of coronavirus on the Isle of Man so far, of which nine remain active.

The first of the positive tests in this latest cluster was recorded on Tuesday.

The individuals and their households were instructed to self-isolate, as well as several other "high risk contacts" who were waiting for test results.
