Watch: Why Indigenous people differ on Australia's Voice vote

This Saturday Australia will hold a historic referendum on the rights of its Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

The proposal - known as the Voice - asks to change the constitution to recognise Indigenous Australians for the first time, by creating a formal body for them to give advice to the government on issues affecting their communities.

The Voice has become the subject of fierce debate, so the BBC spoke to Indigenous Australians from across the country, to see what they think of the proposal.

Indigenous Australians may identify themselves by traditional nations, language groups or peoples, and have done so in this video.
