Australian reporters arrive home from China after 'standoff'
The Australian Broadcasting Corporation's Bill Birtles has spoken to reporters in Sydney, calling his "whirlwind" departure from China "not a particularly good experience".
He was one of two Australian reporters removed from China over what local media say is a diplomatic standoff.
The other journalist is the Australian Financial Review's Mike Smith, who also reached Sydney on Tuesday.
