Covid vaccines: Malawi incinerates thousands of expired doses

Malawi health authorities have burned 19,610 expired AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine doses.

They wanted to boost the public’s confidence, by showing they weren’t using expired vaccines.

Health Minister Khumbize Chiponda said people shouldn’t worry, as they still had vaccines and would continue to “get more until we reach our target which is having at least 11 million Malawians getting the AstraZeneca vaccine”.
