'Era of quiet quitting' in NI - junior doctor
A junior doctor has said there is an "era of quiet quitting" and other staff reducing their hours in Northern Ireland healthcare.
On Monday, junior doctors voted overwhelmingly to take their first strike action in Northern Ireland in a dispute over pay.
It will begin on 6 March for 24 hours.
Dr Tim Neill, who works at Daisy Hill Hospital in Newry, said it was "difficult to hear" stories from colleagues about how they wished to leave the profession.
The Department of Health said industrial action "will inevitably exacerbate the already severe pressures on our health service".
It said it is committed "to further engagement with the BMA Junior Doctors Committee on pay, contract reform and other issues".
