Canadians say US ties strong despite Trump jabs

US President-elect Donald Trump's threat of tariffs and jabs at Prime Minister Justin Trudeau have put a spotlight on the North American neighbours.

Trump has promised to impose a levy of 25% on imported Canadian goods after he takes office in January unless the country improves security on its shared border.

On Monday, Canada's finance minister resigned, citing disagreements with Trudeau over how to respond to Trump's "America First" polices.

Trump recently referred to Trudeau as the "governor" of the "Great State of Canada" and has suggested Canada become the 51st US state.

The BBC asked Canadians what they think of the president-elect's comments and the relationship between both countries.
