Drug dealer discards machete during police pursuit

The moment where a teenage drug dealer threw away a machete during a city centre police pursuit has been caught on camera.

Bodycam footage showed Abdul Kareem, 19, running from officers through an underpass at Bourges Boulevard in Peterborough on 21 September.

Cambridgeshire Police said cannabis was found during his arrest and 66 wraps of crack cocaine and heroin were later discovered hidden in his underwear.

Kareem, of Cromwell Road, Millfield, was sentenced to two years and eight months in prison at Cambridge Crown Court, after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin, possession of cannabis and possession of a bladed article in a public place.
