Watch as Typhoon Shanshan wreaks havoc in Japan
Japan has been hit by one of its strongest typhoons in decades.
Typhoon Shanshan made landfall at 08:00 local time on Wednesday (23:00 GMT) on Kyushu, the southernmost of Japan's major islands.
Five million people have been told to evacuate their homes after torrential rain and gusts of 252 km/h (157mph) hit the south of the country.
At least four people have been killed and more than 80 injured.
