Wales new First Minister Mark Drakeford is sworn in
New Welsh First Minister Mark Drakeford has officially taken office in a ceremony in Cardiff Bay.
He took the oath before a senior judge, after the Queen confirmed his appointment in place of Carwyn Jones.
Mr Drakeford was nominated as first minister by AMs on Wednesday, following his victory in the Welsh Labour leadership contest last week.
Revealing his ministerial team later, he promoted Rebecca Evans and Eluned Morgan and sacked Alun Davies.
After the ceremony, Mr Drakeford tweeted: "The Official Oath, undertaken by The Honourable Mr Justice Lewis, marks the start of my tenure as First Minister of Wales.
"Thank you to everyone who has given their support - it's an enormous privilege to be here today, to lead the people of Wales and call myself your First Minister."
Carwyn Jones stood down on Tuesday after nine years in the top job in Welsh politics.
