Tredegar: Man arrested for suspected arson at ex-social club

A man has been arrested on suspicion of arson after a fire at a derelict social club.

Gwent Police said it received a report of a fire in Church Street, Tredegar, Blaenau Gwent, at about 02:20 BST on Sunday morning.

Officers attended the scene at the former Willows Social Club alongside crews from South Wales Fire and Rescue Service.

No one is believed to have been injured.

A man from Blaenau Gwent was arrested and has since been released on conditional bail, police said.
