Illegal vapes found in Swansea garden's WWll bunker
Illegal vapes with a street value of more than £47,000 have been found in a disused World War Two bunker in a Swansea garden.
Council officers found the contraband, as well as counterfeit cigarettes and tobacco, during a search of a local shop.
Large amounts of tobacco and vapes were also seized from a hidden compartment at a second shop in the city.
Both shop owners are now likely to face charges, Swansea council said.
Specially-trained detection dogs joined officers on the search to help sniff out illegal goods as part of the council's crackdown on the sale of illegal vapes.
Rhys Harries from Swansea's trading standards team said: "Information passed to us by concerned consumers is helping us to track down businesses in the city that are selling illegal vapes and tobacco.
"We've had an extremely busy time investigating a number of cases and have been successful in prosecuting a number of people in recent months."
People are encouraged to keep passing information on to the council, particularly about the sale of vapes to minors.
