A body found at the scene of a house fire was that of a man who died after "a firearm was discharged", police have said.

South Wales Police was called to Mill Road in Ynysybwl, Rhondda Cynon Taf, at about 07:30 BST on Tuesday.

The force said the 53-year-old's death was not being treated as suspicious.

It said an investigation was continuing on behalf of the coroner into the circumstances surrounding his death.
